Pastor Danny came to HWC in 2025 after serving for 8 years in rural Eastern Kentucky. He was raised in a Christian home where ministry happened everyday. His family has a heritage of faith with pastors and missionaries in Wesleyan and Nazarene denominations.

Personally, Pastor Danny was called to ministry during a youth camp while in college. He graduated from Kentucky Mountain Bible College with a Bachelor's Degree in Religion with an emphasis in Pastoral Ministry and Communications. Afterwards, he attended Liberty Theological Seminary where he earned his Masters of Divinity with an emphasis in Leadership. He has served as the youth pastor at the Church @ Grandin Village in Roanoke, VA as well as the head pastor of Jackson First UMC in Jackson, KY. 

As the pastor, Danny brings a balance of scholarly sermons and practical Christian living. His favorite parts of ministry are when he gets to be shoulder to shoulder with the people in his care. This has come about through regular meals with church members, work projects in the community, and volunteering with the local fire department.
